Upstaging last year’s takeover of the historic, now rejuvenated department store CANK in Neukölln, this year’s multifaceted runway shows will be staged at Tempodrom, an architectural marvel centrally located in Berlin’s Tiergarten district. The 2023 roster boasts Shayne Oliver’s Anonymous Club, Benjamin Huseby and Serhat Isik’s GmbH, Marie Lueder’s eponymous label, and Claudia Skoda. GmbH and Lueder have been honoured with this season’s Berlin Contemporary Prize, awarded by The Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises / Project Future.

Expanding beyond the iconic Tempodrom venue, INTERVENTION will feature a series of citywide activations throughout the four days of Berlin Fashion Week (July 1 – 4). GmbH will take over Reference Studios’ exhibition space on Potsdamer Straße, offering an exclusive preview of the new SS25 collection alongside a curated selection of current pieces available for purchase. The newly minted space in Schöneberg and its surroundings will act as a vibrant secondary hub for the event. The inaugural ‘Reference Forum: New Wave’ — showcasing promising German design talent, including LVMH Prize nominee Amesh, Colrs by Zek Meiré, Ioannes, P.L.N., and Katharina Dubbick — will be held in the Reference Studios Berlin showroom next door.

Italian outerwear legend C.P. Company brings their pioneering expo format ‘Laboratorio’ to Berlin for the first time outside Italy, partnering officially with INTERVENTION. Dedicated to extending the lifecycle of products, ‘Laboratorio’ features interactive customization workshops and a public exhibition of seminal archive pieces.

Southern California-based lifestyle brand UGG® will host the official INTERVENTION afterparty, in collaboration with Reference Studios. Expect a unique nightlife experience featuring high-profile DJs and a live performance to celebrate the second year of INTERVENTION.

INTERVENTION is commissioned by the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, as part of the official Berlin Fashion Week calendar. Reference Studios, founded by Mumi Haiati in 2017, aims to build a contemporary platform based on creativity and Haiati’s extensive global network. The agency’s philosophy integrates today’s cross-cultural environment, where youth, luxury, brand, and consumer seamlessly converge both online and offline.

Reference operates under the belief that everything a brand does — from product launches to advertising and events — should be treated as media, ensuring offline activities resonate within the digital realm. With a holistic approach to communications, Reference strategically mobilizes expertise in press relations, brand and community building, retail marketing, events, and social media to generate unparalleled momentum and energy for clients.
